Water
Purification Plants of Rawalpindi City
Managing
Director, WASA highlighted that most of the Water
purification plants in Rawalpindi city installed by TMA
are not as per specific standards. Milled steel chambers
have been used in the manufacturing of these filtration
plants instead of recommended stainless steel. These
filtration plants are producing contaminated water and
other water borne diseases in Rawalpindi city.

Managing Director WASA raised public awareness campaign
through print media and arranged meeting with public
delegations against the installation of these
substandard filtration plants to save the inhabitants of
Rawalpindi from their contaminated water. City district
government also took serious action in this issue.
