VEHICLES TRACKING AND GEO-FENCING SYSTEM
As a part of
his program to modernize WASA Rawalpindi and to meet the
challenges of 21st century, MD WASA introduced vehicles
tracking and Geo-fencing System in WASA Rawalpindi. This
is satellite based system and works through GPS, SMS,
GPRS. This system is successfully adopted and
implemented in advanced countries of Europe and America.
The main feature of the system is to control the
irregularities, misuse and pilferage of POL. Control
room is also established in WASA Rawalpindi for online
monitoring of WASA vehicles. Geo-fencing system is in
progress and will be implemented shortly. After
installation of geo-fencing system, WASA vehicles will
be restricted to WASA jurisdiction only.
