MD WASA Visit to Netherlands
Managing Director, WASA also visited Netherlands. During
his stay in Netherlands he visited Geological survey of
Netherlands (TNO), an organization which is successfully
working on geo-hazard, geo biology, and knowledge on
deep surface geology in diversified regions of the
world. MD WASA’s meeting with the Senior Management of
TNO was very successful and they were agreed to support
WASA Rawalpindi on Cooperation project on water
management. In the continuity of his Dutch visit, MD
WASA also visited Dutch Embassy, Islamabad on 6th June
and held a meeting with Mr. Fred Smiet, 1st Secretary
Water and Environment. MD WASA delivered a comprehensive
presentation on Allied problems of Water and Sewerage of
Rawalpindi city. During the meeting it was decided to
forward a TOR to Netherlands. TOR has been approved by
TNO and in few months time, TNO will undertake three
dimensional under ground water mapping for
identification of recharge areas and water movement.
